About Eddie
I am a photographer by learning - no formal education. Before photography, I worked in the tech world focusing on analytics, strategy and business operations. My ability to synthesize disparate data sources, work cross-functionally across teams and distill findings teams is what led me have a successful career at Loopnet.
After some time off, I pivoted careers and after dabbling in some event photography, wedding photos, and restaurants, I settled into my niche of photography that attempted to go against the grain of industry norms - embellishment, photoshop, stiff commercial photos and overly technical approach to photography.
Unlike most photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area, I shoot entirely outdoors, public sites, client offices and homes - no studios!.
For my dating photo clients, I customize shoots entirely based on their lifestyle, who they want to attract and what helps with conversations. This can range from rooftops, museums, art galleries, cafes, galas, hikes, cocktail bars, restaurants and more.
I often take photos with my phone for discretion but also to put people at ease and take photos organically like a friend would if they were hanging out and less like an overly staged, stiff and forced photoshoot.
Born in Oakland, raised in Marin and lived most of adult life in San Francisco with stints in Los Angeles and New York City, I know my way around town and am known for my unmatched location scouting. Check out my free weekly newsletter (Eddie’s List) for tips on things to do each week in the San Francisco Bay Area.
